After almost 80 years in the car business in Calgary, the Valentine Group, in partnership with the Wyant Group, has expanded its automotive empire in 2020 with the opening of Land Rover Royal Oak.
Paul Valentine is a third-generation car dealer and his family has had a long presence in Calgary’s automotive history. The Valentine Group’s reputation was built on an uncompromising commitment to customer satisfaction and employee retainment. Bert Valentine first started selling Austins after WWII, then Studebakers, and finally Volvo. Ted, who gas jockeyed for his father in his youth, then took over the management of the dealership in the late 1960s and eventually handed the reins to Paul in 2020, who has been with the company since 1987.
Vaughn Wyant started his journey in the automotive business on the sales floor. It was in sales where his positive, informal manner and "love of the deal" took him from dealerships in England to Vancouver, to small-town Alberta, and finally back to his hometown of Saskatoon. With his sons Phillip and Michael on board, the Wyant Group has grown to 500 employees representing multiple brands across Western Canada. From the beginning in 1983 to today, our story continues to be about passion, people, optimism, ambition, and opportunity.

THE DEALERSHIP
Land Rover Royal Oak is Alberta’s newest luxury automotive dealership. Located in Calgary’s North West, our 75,000 square foot state-of-the-art building has four showrooms offering a wide selection of premium new and pre-owned Land Rover models. Put your feet up - our spacious waiting lounge has a barista and free Wi-Fi. We also a have fleet of new Land Rover courtesy cars for you to use while your vehicle is in for service. Our heated drive-through bay fits 8 cars for ease of drop off and the service department has 25 bays to enable us to get you in and out efficiently. We are all about providing the best to our customers at Land Rover Royal Oak.
Paul Valentine Wins 2022 MDA Dealer of Excellence Award
Paul Valentine is a third-generation auto dealer who has followed in his father’s footsteps in business, in his service on the MDA board, in his extensive philanthropic endeavours, and as winner of the MDA Dealer of Excellence award (Ted Valentine won the honour in 1984). The Valentine Group operates three Calgary dealerships, all of which post nation-leading customer satisfaction ratings: Valentine Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover Royal Oak and Volvo Cars Royal Oak.
